Custom software built around how your business actually works.
Internal tools, quoting and job systems, customer portals and the integrations that stop your team typing the same thing into three places. Pete has spent over 20 years building software and digital systems. We scope it properly, build it in stages, and you choose: lease it from us monthly, or pay up front and own it outright.
Scoped and quoted per project. Lease monthly or pay up front. No published software price, because the honest answer depends on what is being built.
Who this is for
Established UK SMEs where the business has outgrown its spreadsheets, but nobody in-house has the time or the skills to fix it.
Roughly £5–10m turnover, no IT team
You have customers, staff and a set of tools you already pay for. There is no IT department — or the nearest thing is a junior marketer who also looks after the website. The systems work, mostly, but the gaps between them are filled by people re-typing, chasing and checking.
The spreadsheet has become the system
Quotes live in someone’s inbox. Job status is a whiteboard and a phone call. One person knows how the master spreadsheet works and nobody wants them to go on holiday. Month-end reporting takes a day of copying numbers between screens.
If that sounds familiar, the answer is not always new software — but it is always worth a proper look. We start by understanding how the work actually flows through the business, not how the org chart says it should.
What we build
Software that removes repetition from real jobs. Each of these is built around your process, your data and the tools you already run.
Internal tools
Simple, focused screens for the jobs your team does every day: stock checks, purchase requests, sign-offs, site checklists. Fewer clicks than the spreadsheet, and nothing gets overwritten.
Quoting, job and booking systems
Turn an enquiry into a quote, a quote into a job and a job into an invoice without re-keying. Bookings, scheduling and job status in one place your team can see.
Customer portals
Let customers check an order, download documents, re-order or log a request themselves — so the office is not answering the same “where is it?” call all day.
Integrations
Join the systems you already pay for — accounts packages such as Sage or Xero, your CRM, your website, your spreadsheets — so information moves once and lands in the right place.
Reporting dashboards
One honest view of sales, jobs, stock or marketing, pulled from the source systems instead of rebuilt by hand every Monday.
AI-assisted workflows
AI added on top of the infrastructure you already have: drafting quotes from enquiries, summarising inboxes, flagging exceptions. A person still approves anything involving money, stock or customers.
Over 20 years building software and digital systems
Pete has been building software and digital systems for over 20 years — the same period he has spent hands-on in Google, Microsoft and Meta ad accounts. That mix matters: the software we build is shaped by what happens to an enquiry after someone clicks.
Software, websites, tracking and the integrations between them.
We build around how the work flows, not around a template.
Your data is always yours. Buy it and the code is yours too.
If a package already does the job, we tell you.
How a build runs
Small, scoped stages. You see working software early, and you can stop after any stage.
Understand the job
We sit with the people who do the work, map the steps and the systems involved, and agree what the first useful stage should be. You get a written scope and quote.
Build in stages
Each stage is scoped, quoted and built on its own. Your team uses it on real work, tells us what is wrong, and that shapes the next stage.
Ready for real work
Walkthroughs for the people using it, plain-English notes on how it works, and logins in your name. Buy it and the repository and hosting account are yours too; lease it and we keep it running for you.
Agreed support
Fixes, changes and new stages, agreed with you as you go. If you own it and would rather hand it to someone else, you can — nothing is locked away.
Lease it or own it
Two ways to pay for the same software. Pick the one that suits the business. No contracts, no messing about.
Lease it from us monthly
Pay a monthly fee and we host, run and maintain the software for you. It is often much cheaper than a CRM subscription, and you get a tool built around how your team actually works, rather than a package you have to bend your process to fit.
Pay up front and own it outright
Pay for the build and the software is yours: the code, the data, the repository and the hosting account, all in your name. Keep us on for changes and support if you want to, or hand it to another developer.
Either way, it starts with the same discovery and a simple written scope and quote, so you know the cost before any work starts. Leasing now and want to own it later? Ask us about it.
Your data is always yours
Custom software should make the business less dependent on one supplier, not more — whichever route you choose.
No hostage software
Buy it and the source code sits in an account you own. If you change supplier, the next developer picks it up from there. Lease it and we keep the code running and maintained for you.
Your data stays yours
Lease or own, the customer, job and financial data belongs to your business. Access is set per person, and people only see what their role needs.
When off-the-shelf is the better answer
Building software you do not need is an expensive way to create something else to maintain. We will tell you when to buy instead.
Standard processes
Payroll, accounts, email and most HR are well served by established packages. Your process is unlikely to be different enough to justify building your own.
The tool you have can already do it
Often the CRM or accounts package you already pay for has the feature — it was just never set up. Configuring it properly costs less than building around it.
The gap nobody sells
Custom software earns its place where your process is genuinely yours, where systems need joining, or where a package would force the team to work around it every day.
Where software meets AI and PPC
The same commercial problem often runs through all three. Building the software with the ads and the AI in mind saves doing the work twice.
Lead handling that closes the loop
Enquiries from your ads routed to the right person straight away, followed up, and fed back so the ad account learns which leads turned into work. See PPC retainers.
Quoting tools with a head start
An AI step reads the enquiry, pulls the specification and prepares a draft quote for your estimator to check and own. See AI automation.
One version of the truth
Stock, jobs and sales feeding reports, ad feeds and the website from the same source — so nobody is selling something the warehouse does not have.
Hinckley hub · UK-wide builds
Based in Hinckley. Software is built on your systems, so we work with SMEs across the UK.
If you are inside about 40 miles of Hinckley — Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Coventry, Loughborough or Nuneaton — discovery can happen on site, watching the work where it actually happens. Further afield, we run it on calls and screen shares. See the East Midlands hub for the towns we visit.
Custom software — plain answers
What kind of software do you build?
Practical business software: internal tools, quoting, job and booking systems, customer portals, reporting dashboards and integrations that join the systems you already run. Most of it runs in a web browser, so your team can use it from the office, the unit or the van.
How much does custom software cost?
Every project is scoped and quoted, and you choose how to pay: lease the software from us monthly, which is often much cheaper than a CRM subscription, or pay up front and own it outright. We do not publish a software price because the honest answer depends on what is being built. Discovery comes first, then a written quote for the first stage, so you know the cost before work starts and can stop after any stage. No contracts, no messing about.
Can we lease the software instead of buying it?
Yes. You pay monthly and we host, run and maintain the software for you, which is often much cheaper than paying for a CRM subscription. Your data is always yours, there are no contracts, and if you would rather own the software later, ask us about it.
Who owns the code and the data?
Your data is always yours, whichever route you choose. If you pay up front, you own the code outright too, in accounts in your name, and another developer can take it on if you ever want them to. If you lease, we run and maintain the software for you, and you can ask us about buying it outright later.
Will it replace Sage, Xero or our CRM?
Usually not. Most of the time the right answer is to keep what you already pay for and build the missing piece around it, or connect the systems so the same information is not typed in twice.
How long does a build take?
It depends on the scope, and we agree a timescale for each stage in the quote. We would rather put a small, useful first stage in front of your team early than disappear for months and come back with something nobody asked for.
What happens after handover?
You get a walkthrough for the people who will use it, plain-English notes on how it works, and the logins in your name. Ongoing support and changes are agreed with you, so you are not left with a tool nobody can maintain.
Will you tell us if off-the-shelf software would do the job?
Yes. If a well-supported package already does what you need at a sensible subscription, we will say so and help you set it up rather than build something you have to look after.
How does custom software fit with Pasecom AI and PPC?
They often meet. A quoting tool can use AI to draft from an enquiry, and a lead-handling system can route the enquiries your ads pay for and report back what actually converted. Company AI and PPC retainers are separate services with their own pages (AI automation, PPC retainers); software is scoped and quoted on its own.
Tell us what the spreadsheet is doing.
Send the context, not a specification. Tell us what is being re-typed, chased or held together by one person, and we will say whether it is worth building, buying or leaving alone.
